Monks are already wielding shields, because they're more useful then caster offhands. I don't see any reason to imbalance this even more.

Not really. Caster offhands also give you your high energy set and 20/20. Shields offer extra protection. Monks should have alot of weaponsets, as any other caster should anyway.

I suggest that it should give ya +100 armor... Then everyone in your group hazz +100 armor with "save yourselves".
